Those Rockstars, care so much about honor and glory. I wonder what will happen when one day when things get worse ...such as noone likes their songs anymore... i believe that will be a time when they start thinking a lot and cannot accept the fact that they fail...

it's all due to the internal pride implanted in them... noone wants to be a failure.

When I reflect back, humans normally now are currently so focused on the materials on this world...striving for luxury, fame, etc...

They get too carried away...and they never realise that what they are doing is just within the boundary which won't last long.... They get too carried away, that is why they hardened their hearts so much that they do not even bother facing the spiritual trial that heavenly Father has given them...they find it hard, boring, waste of time.

What I know is...God has answered my prayers a lot of times(according to his will) depending on the timing, sometimes straight away, sometimes he answers me slowly just to test my faith. This proves He really exists. If he doesnt exist, why would I even bother having a relationship with Him?

THis bassist is an indian Dude called PRanav~ Reminds me of my best decadent friends(Ranveer SIngh and Pevan SIngh) which u can find from my friends list.... Those two handsome punjabs...who play very heavy metal music...

This PRanav's attitude is similar to Ranveer Singh...Knew Ranveer since Kindergarten where he became my bodyguard to those seniors who bulied me...not like brian koh ..he just stnd there tengok wayang and act nothing happen.. HAHA

man, it's a pleasure having a replicant of my decadent friend to be our bassist..

Melodic Control

By flashing back how many g. videos I had watched, I had viewed a list of instructional videos on the skills of Jeff Watson(Night Ranger), Paul GIlbert, Vinnie Moore, Marty Friedman, Richie Kotzen, Tommy Emmanuel, Albert Lee, Yngwie Malmsteen, Mike Wolf, Chet Atkins and Eric Johnson. That's not too many, but that's fine.

Out of these virtuosos, I think Marty Friedman is the only one I would distinguish from the rest of the metal shredders in terms of his creativity. The critical aspect in his teaching is that his alteration in combination with his flexible technique results in a melody that sounds so natural and just blows your mind away. He is really different from the rest !! Imagine listening to Stevie Ray Vaughan beating about his blues+pentatonic scales all over the e. guitar Versus Marty Friedman playing pentatonic+japanese+bits of blues and blending them together on jazz/tension/basic chords just impress me big time. Marty is an Alien, not a human.

I had watched his video called Melody Control. Sometimes we as guitarists especially the amateurs are just simply playing scales within the box. That was my old habit but I think I somehow have improved a lot in this aspect. By doing so requires a strong illustration on how each particular scale(say Lydian) is born all over the neck(octaves-wise) and how you can manipulate it with your talent.

Other than Marty, Chet Atkins and Emmanuel also kick arses.

Dont let Guitar scales control you. But control them

I really dont like to announce my blog by getting attention like this. Hope there's such function which doesn't allow that. I just wanna share with the friends who are interested, that's all.

Anyway, out of so many videos that I have observed, I love to watch guitarists perform their guitar solo with nice and catchy melodies instead of Full SHredding, Licks~~~, Do re mi fa so, like how they use for PRactice and Warm up... It's like No Soul for the playing... Yes I had played like that 6 years ago when I was a naive little kid which I thought ( playing fast is always good !)in order to amaze my friends. For the first time, they are amazed...but not until the next time because afer that, it's all about how pleasing the sound is to your ear.

Therefore, I have been thinking of what sort of creativity I should come up with in order to create an ACtive feel in my guitar solo composition. Ricky's gonna compose some songs and he wants me to fill up his songs with guitar solos. I have composed a guitar solo for Katrina(David Tao's). John says he likes it, he makes me feel so happy. And I havent shown anyone yet because I still need to train more on my technical skills..plus....oh gosh~~my civil engineering Stuff..AHHHH the bloody retaning wall design(i love it)...but i just dont have enuff time for Music !!!!!

Hobby....

I've never got the chance to jam music with my band until this year. It was Ricky Li, from China who has this strong desire to form a band.  We knew each other as neighbours since last year. Before I knew him, I heard him playing one of Beyond's "really luv you" guitar solo just next door.  So I turned my amp loud enough to draw his attention...by playing the same thing as he did but of course I added some improvisions to the guitar solo just to make him feel bad. But after all, it was just for fun.. I'd no intension for being arrogant.

Last year, I didn't have the mood for jamming due to my bloody engineering courses. This year, I try to organise my best and I find a time every Sat to jam with him and John. John is a talented vocalist and I really love his voice.

Ricky has added an advertisement in Uni to find a Bassist and a Drummer. What he wrote in the advertisement is something like...

Do you have a Passion for Rock? Do you have a Dream to form a Band?

We currently consist of 3 members(John=Vocalist, Ricky=Rhytim, and Henry=Lead guitar)

• John is a very talented vocalist and has a handsome face...he has both great criterias for a vocalist.
• Ricky has been playing for 4 years and is very enthusiastic and confident with his guitar playing.

And I dont think I should continue writing about mine cause it may sound embarassing. Somehow, I think the advertisement is a little bit funny.

I admire Ricky for his strong desire in forming a band..He even composed some songs. As for me, I think I'm just jamming for fun..

How I communicate with them is rather interesting. Thank God I didn't have any hard time for communication. They seem to show interests in sharing talks with me despite my lousy non-standard mandarin. If I can't understand some really hard chinese terms they are talking about, they would use English instead..or to a funnier extent, they rely on the electronic dictionary to translate difficult chinese to english for me.

I really like those guys. We have really similar interests for Rock. But I also like some Jazz,Pop, Ballad and some Folk/Country songs.

Conference of Ps David and Ps Wilson in the name of Jesus

I went to a conference where the speeches were given by Ps. Wilson and Ps. David from 30th June-2nd July.

I really thank God for their willingness and their sincerity for preaching God's words. Ps. Wilson, I admire him because of his sincerity in preaching. I am glad he dedicates his life to preaching although he used to be a civil engineer.

About Ps. David, he is a preacher from Thailand. A bit of background about him, he was born in a rich family in Thailand. He could have the chance to study in great institution of Thailand where all the prime ministers, politicians and etc were trained. Despite all this wealth and chance he had, he would rather serve for God. He was once kicked out by his family because his dad was so disappointed that he worked as a full time staff of the Christian community.

He could have the choice of staying with his family if he chose not to work there again. But instead, he chose to live with God in the name of Jesus. It was not an easy decision though. So he decided to live in his humble office of his church. Whilst staying there, he slept on a sleeping bag sponsored by a person. He felt really sad and all that, but one thing kept him tough was...'He loves Jesus deeply ever since he was a Christian.'

Eventually after 3 months, his mom called and wanted him back. Thank God he wasn't sleeping on a hard floor covered by sleeping bag for years or else we might see him having a backpain during the speech now.

This is only a brief background of him I'm sharing, but he did share a few testimonials which inspire me in a way that he put all his faith and walked with God without a bit of doubt.

I admit I was a Christian by name. But I know I am no longer that person ever since I allowed God in the name of jesus deeply into my life. I allowed him into my life initially because I wanted that someone that I really love to get healed. That person means a lot to me because without him, I will not exist.

I believe we all do have a lot of spiritual struggles, but do remember, please dont take advantage on Jesus by repeting the sins intentionally just because we know he always accepts our repentance. That way, we are being selfish and are only using him as our saviour but not appreciating him or loving him.

The issue now is not about Human Conciousness (How good we behave) ALONE. It's about accepting Christ as your saviour into your life and then shall we focus on human conciousness.

Sad Sonata

Oh yeah, loved this Korean drama called Sad Sonata or (Sad love story) starring Kwon Sang Woo and this gorgeous girl. The OST songs are really cool~

Cant find the songs !! Saran Han Da Myun is the song title(i was told by my korean fella that it means "If u luv me" or "if i luv u".. weird but it's true . Artist is Yoon Gun and other songs too..me love it ! Will elaborate more bout this drama when i have the time..  so many values i learnt from it...thank god it's not a tears jerking crappy drama without the meaning in it ~cause when they cry, u really feel it ! hahahah

So girls, keep crying if u do watch Sad SOnata...it's comprises lots of episodes.. like (21)
